Mr. SUZUKI has handled patent cases (especially relating to mechanical engineering field and machine controlling field), utility model cases, design cases and trademark cases in domestic issues as well as foreign issues.
He has experienced many cases of application procedures, and validity and infringement judgments as well as counseling of clients. He is also well versed in litigations and contract.
After graduating from university, he joined Horiba Seisakusyo Co., Ltd that is one of the leading venture enterprises in Japan where he worked in development and designing department. After entering the intellectual property field, he has acquired abundance of experience in overseas-related cases such as applications in foreign countries for domestic clients and applications in Japan for foreign clients. Therefore, he is able to give beneficial advice to both the domestic and foreign clients.

Mr. Mashimo specializes in prosecution of domestic and international mechanical patent applications for both large and small clients. In addition to patent prosecution, opinions as to the scope and validity of Japanese Patents form a significant part of his practice.
After graduating from university, he developed air conditioning systems in Denso Corporation. Prior to establishing the firm, he was a partner in the patent law firm of SAEGUSA & Partners.
Hobbies
His hobbies are playing golf, jogging and drinking beer.
